Food and Health Standards (2006) Limited, in partnership with Liquor Licensing Bureau Limited, an accredited training provider and training body, is pleased to launch two training courses aimed at Sale of Liquor and Food Safety.
Ever wanted to be a bar manager ? You will need to be trained in the Act and Host Responsibility, your role as a manager and the law
* The LCQ or Licensed Controller Qualification (LCQ) covers the two Unit Standards 4646 and 16705 in Sale of Liquor and Host Responsibility.
Alternatively if you prepare food and need to appreciate the risks or how to manage risks safely, then the Basic Food Safety Training Course is for you.
* Basic Food Safety (Unit Standards 20666) - Demonstrate a Basic Knowledge of Contamination Hazards and Control Methods used in a Food Business.
This will be sufficient training in most areas for all food handling staff – please check your local Council’s requirements.
BUT
Supervisors may require more advanced training which could include one or both of the following units as well.
Unit 167 – Practice Food Safety Methods in a Food Business
Unit 168 – Demonstrate Knowledge of Contamination Hazards and Control Methods used in a Food Business
